The motorway and the Mediterranean motorway (A-7 and AP-7) connect the city with the entire Mediterranean arch, both towards Andalusia and Barcelona. Cartagena is linked to the interior of the peninsula through the A-30 (Autovía de Murcia) and the A-3 (Autovía del Este).
